Some are more hyped than others, so I know which ones to choose depending on my goals and the mood I’m in that day. I’ve had the Peloton bike for some time so was pleased to see that my favourite instructors from bike classes are run instructors too. The Peloton Tread feels extremely comfortable to run on. A bad one doesn’t provide enough cushioning and ultimately could end up with the user getting injured. I’ve been to enough gyms in my time to know the difference between a good quality treadmill and bad one. And the integrated speakers mean the sound is crystal clear and can be ramped up loud to recreate the energy of an energising class environment. The screen tilts up and down so can be easily seen when taking part in floor-based classes. You simply push the wheel forward to increase and rotate it back to decrease – no frantic pressing buttons when you’re sprinting and trying to slow down. The control knobs for speed and incline are simplest I’ve ever come across. The Peloton Tread is a super sleek looking running machine that comes with a 23.8” HD touchscreen, so you can take part in hundreds of different classes on the Peloton App, both on and off the treadmill. It reminded me that I actually used to be a pretty decent runner but over the years I largely turned my back on pounding the pavements and treadmills and instead opted for rowing and the exercise bike as my cardio of choice.īut then Peloton offered me its new 'Tread' to try late last year during lockdown and it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. A Facebook memory popped up this week from 13 years ago when I ran a half marathon in 1 hour 45 min 6 secs. Before we get into the meat of my Peloton treadmill review, let me give you a bit of insight into my relationship with running.
